History

Crossville Christian School was chartered in February 1997 by members of First Presbyterian Church of Crossville, Tennessee, a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. The founders intended to create a premier Christian school with a classical, academically rigorous approach. On the first day of school in August 1997, one teacher and six students met for classes.

Now, Crossville Christian School has grown to encompass grades pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, maintaining its attractively low student-teacher ratio. In recent years, our students have consistently tested in the top 15% – or higher – on national standardized tests.

As it continues to expand, Crossville Christian School remains steadfast in its commitment to an academically challenging, yet developmentally appropriate, curriculum into which the Word of God is centrally integrated.
